Team Building participants take on an unfamiliar task — art, sculpture, display — and work together to do their best. This activity makes the best of cooperative and competitive elements. In the process, participants will recognize each team member’s strengths and weaknesses (including their own) on several levels and be required to make the best use of them in orderto ‘WIN’ Best Team Display at the end. They do the final judging. Reward is determined by the host.
Our TeamBuilding objective is to have fun and facilitate the learning of a new skill while encouraging cooperative work on a novel project with a real goal in mind.
Team Building guests are seated at tables of their own choosing. Each table has a number. Tables are set with a plate and our Specialty Thai Carving Knife for each person. Geometric patterns and animal carving techniques are taught, in addition to more elegant floral forms. As always, we attempt to tailor the carvings to accommodate basic skills. Individuals carve to their best ability.
As they carve, assistants will distribute the next vegetable or fruit item. Midway (an hour and a half in) guest eliminate all but their best carvings. The final goal is to then cooperate to create the most pleasing arrangement of the best work from each person on the large platter on each table.
